Fit For Disney Update

Back at the beginning of May (May 9th to be exact), I embarked on a "Fit for Disney" journey.  Fast forward just over a month and here are my results:

Did I lose any weight?
Sadly, no - in fact I actually gained a couple pounds - granted I didn't change my eating at all while using the products.

What do I think of the products?
First the Women's Lifestyle Capsules

This is your standard B-complex vitamin with added Minerals, Plant Extracts, Anti-oxidants, Enzymes, Pro-Biotics, and Amino Acids.  A box of 30 envelopes, each containing 2 capsules is $74 USD.   I had no adverse reactions from these vitamins but didn't feel they did anything special.

Next is the Lifestyle DFT-DUO patches.  There are 30 patches in a package and each patch splits into 2 patches - one for your left side, one for your right.  Ingredients are listed below:
I honestly didn't see any advantage using these patches, and often found my skin would itch after removing (you are supposed to wear them 24 hours) - and sadly didn't stay on in the shower.  Cost is $88 per package of 30 patches.

Would I repurchase these products?
Nope.  While I like the convenience of the pre-packaged envelopes of the Women's Lifestyle capsules, the $74 price tag isn't to me.  They really don't contain anything special and you could easily purchase similar vitamins for less money.  As for the DFT-DUO patches, they did absolutely nothing for me, so sadly I won't be repurchasing either of these products.

Interestingly, since finishing these products about 2 weeks ago, I have actually lost over 5 pounds - and hopefully will continue to lose more over the next 3 weeks.

My Personal Experience - ParaGONE Parasite Cleanse

At the advice of a friend, I started my parasite cleanse on May 23rd and this is my experience When I started this blog, I advised I would post all about my experiences - nothing was off limits and we would discuss it all.  This is one of those TMI posts 😊 What exactly is ParaGONE? ParaGONE is a patented broad spectrum antiparasitic, antimicrobial, and antifungal herbal cleansing program. It contains herbs and extracts that are widely used as antiparasitics to remove both visual (nematode) and microscopic (bacterial) parasites from the body. It also contains antifungal herbs and extracts that are known to eliminate yeast/fungal organisms from the body. How does ParaGONE work? Antiparasitic herbs rid the body of parasites in 2 different ways; One group of herbs works by paralyzing the organism directly, allowing the body to remove it through the regular channels of elimination. Another group of herbs works by directly destroying the organism. ParaGONE is a formulation for...

Product Review - Nude by Nature

I was one of the lucky ladies chosen to review the new Nude by Nature line here in Canada through Chick Advisor Included in my package were: 1) Nude by Nature Radiant Loose Powder Foundation 2) Nude by Nature Perfecting Primer 3) Nude by Nature Mineral Brush #11 Let's get down to the review: 1) Nude by Nature Radiant Loose Powder Foundation I have previously used powder mineral foundations and was excited to try the Nude by Nature one. The powder comes in a nice clear tub with an interesting mesh sifter. It was hard to pick a color without actually seeing the powders in person but the color I chose matched my skin tone closely enough. That's where the good ends. My main priorities for a mineral powder makeup is that gives my skin a healthy look and they do not look cakey. Unfortunately this one failed. Nude by Nature made my mature skin look really bad, it seemed to accentuate lines and wrinkles I did not know that I had. I looked like I aged a few years i...

First Impression - Ancestry DNA vs MyHeritage DNA Kits

As an only child, I've always been curious about my genetic genealogy and ethnicity, especially on my mother's side of the family.  I am very lucky as my father had meticulously researched the genealogy for his side of the family (before the internet no less) and because of his efforts, I can trace our roots back to Alsace, Germany. Unfortunately family on my mother's side never really discussed their ethnicity or genealogy and I just assumed that they were either Ukrainian or Romanian.  Sadly there are no longer any living relatives on my mother's side that I can ask, so I decided to do the next best thing and do one of those fancy DNA tests they advertise.  But which one? As with any industry that has become popular, especially quickly, there are the front runner companies you always hear about - Ancestry, 23andMe and another I recently came across MyHeritage. Pricewise, MyHeritage is the cheapest at $99, Ancestry is next at $129 and then 23andMe at $249 (prices q...
